- Next Sunday is the Solemnity of Pentecost and it’s the titular feast of our church. As suggested by the PPC, we shall have three days of preparation. There will be a trilingual mass at 6:15 pm on 16th, 17th, and 18th Novena to the Holy Spirit and preaching. Kindly note the change in mass timings. As we have first Holy Communion in English at 9:15 am mass. The Tamil mass will begin at 11:00 am.
- The Confirmation will be given to our Parish Children on 20th of this month at 6:30 pm in English mass and there will be no Tamil mass on Monday evening.
- Holy Ghost Church will host “Little Witnesses: A Vacation Bible Camp” in English every day starting from 21st May to 26th May (5 pm to 7.30 pm), registrations are opened and the Holy Ghost Church youth will be available outside the Church to take your registrations. Registration is open for children from ages 5 up to 16 years. There is a registration fee of Rs. 500/- per child. For more details, kindly contact Fr. Sandeep.
- We have already begun the work in our Car parking area and if there is no rain you may kindly use the Seminary ground to park your vehicles and walk through the pathway prepared to enter the Church premises. You may also park some vehicles at St. Alphonsus Academy premises. We request you to kindly cooperate and also support with your financial help to complete the project.
- Society of St. Vincent De Paul is seeking to set up a panel of doctors to provide treatment, review patients and prescribe suitable medication. If you are a healthcare professional willing to volunteer your expertise, please reach out to us by contacting the Parish Priest or any one of the SVP members. Your support is invaluable to our community’s health and wellbeing.
- Society of St. Vincent de Paul will be distributing various old books, novels etc. next Sunday after the morning masses free of cost for the benefit of Schools, convents, institutions, and parishioners. Those who want to contribute their old books may give them at the parish office during the week.
- St. Alphonsus Institute that is our present Seminary, which is affiliated to St Peter’s Pontifical Institute, is open to receiving those preparing for priesthood or laity, who wish to be enrolled in the first cycle, leading to a Bachelor degree in Theology, keeping in mind both the General and Special Norms of the Instruction on the Affiliation of Institutes of Higher Studies (2020).
- This degree will require three and a half years of study spread over seven semesters. It is mandatory that those seeking admission to St. Alphonsus Institute should have completed their degree in Philosophy at a recognized ecclesiastical faculty, and may then apply for admission at this Institute for the academic year 2024-2025 before the end of May 2024.
