In remembrance of the Diamond Jubilee year of the Holy Ghost Church (1953 – 2013), free midday meal project for the poor was started on Oct 16th, 2012 the feast dayof St. Gerard, a saint belonged to the Redemptorist Congregation. Initially free meals were given to 60 poor people. Many families came forward to sponsor a meal in honor of special occasions like Birthdays, wedding anniversary, and so on. As the years went by and due to less donations, presently the number of midday meals are given to Fiftypoor, old and widows daily.
