WEDDING MASS

“Jesus answered: “Have you not read that the creator from the beginning made them male and female and that he said: This is why a man must leave his father and mother, and cling to his wife, and he two become one body. So then, what God has united, man must not divide.”

Wedding masses are celebrated at the following scheduled hours (IST) on Mondays, Tuesdays & Fridays: 11.00 AM, 2.30 PM  & 4.00 PM. Wednesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays: 11.00 AM & 2.30 PM.  And on Sundays: 2.30 PM.

The wedding Parties are to follow the rules and regulations :

  • Parishioners are to approach the parish office and meet the Parish Clergy three months in advance.
  • The Bride and Bridegroom should have received the sacraments of Baptism, Communion, Confession and Confirmation.
  • You need to produce the Baptism certificate which is not older than six months.
  • The Bride and Bridegroom should go for Pre-Engagement counselling and Marriage Preparation course conducted at Family Welfare Centre – Paalana Bhavan.
  • Marriage parties are to agree and follow the rules and regulations laid down by the Holy Ghost Church in order to celebrate the mass meaningfully.

Documents required:

* The Family should meet the Parish Priest three months before the date of wedding
1. Parish Family book.
2. Latest Baptism Certificate (not more than 6 months old).
3. Confirmation Certificate.

(For people of other Parish)

4. All the above and Parish Priest Letter is compulsory.
5. All the required documents should be submitted three days before the date of wedding after the publication of Banns.
