The Women’s commission of the Bangalore Archdiocese is a group of highly motivate, talented and driven women. This group of women have been working with multiple parishes in Bangalore to set up a Women’s Cell in each parish and as an extension of the Women’s commission of the Bangalore Archdiocese. The group did not stop despite the lockdown and the pandemic and worked tirelessly to launch the Women’s Cell in multiple parishes.

The Women’s Cell of Holy Ghost Church was inaugurated online via Zoom Meeting on May 23rd, 2021 on the Feast of Pentecost. The Archbishop of Bangalore, Most Rev Dr. Peter Machado and the Parish Priest of Holy Ghost Church Rev Fr. Anthony Swamy were both present on zoom call for the inauguration. The Women’s commission supports the associations that exist in the parish to empower women and children. We hope to work closely with the various SCC groups, SSVP, Ladies of Charity etc. We also work with the main cell of the women’s commission to bring the programmes organised by them to our parishioners. Our programmes are aimed at women of all ages, socio-economic backgrounds and languages.Holy Ghost is a large parish with so many eager, gifted women and we hope that many will step up to help us in our efforts. We look forward to the enthusiastic support of the parishioners in the form of time, effort, suggestions and prayers.
