Pastoral involvement in the parish: We extend our service in the Pastoral Care of Holy Ghost Church. Sisters make themselves available to visit the families, for the communion distribution in the parish as well as for the homebound. We also prepare the children for the First Holy Communion, take catechism classes, and participate in the Small Christian Community prayers and their activities. We attend to the needs of the people by providing medical, educational and material help.

We are an indigenous congregation known as Satyaseva Catechist Sisters of the families (Satyaseva means Service to the Truth) of Diocesan jurisdiction founded in the year 1976, in the diocese of Mysore, Karnataka, S.India, by Rev. Mother Regina Woroniecka, a missionary from the congregation of the Ursulines of Roman Union from Poland.

The main charism of our congregation is evangelization and catechesis of the families, along with other ministries and apostolic activities pertaining to the needs of the families of the mission.

We visit the families and conduct the catechetical ministry and biblical prayer sessions in the given set up of the families, keeping up good rapport with them by our regular visits. We are also engaged in the occasional catechetical activities and in the Parish mission. As means to our Catechetical, Biblical, pastoral ministry we envisage multiple, apostolic activities as per the need of the mission.

Blessed Paolo Manna, PIME, is the Inspirer and Msgr.Lorenzo Maria Balconi PIME is the Co-founder was officially erected into a missionary congregation in 1938 with name ‘Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate’; in 1962, the congregation was constituted with Pontifical right under the special protection of Mary Immaculate.

Charism: The living passion to proclaim God’s Kingdom to all peoples. Motto: “THY KINGDOM COME”; it is our prayer and program of daily life, that Jesus Christ becomes the King of all human kind and rules over all the people of the earth.

The Congregation of Servants of Mary is a pontifical International Congregation of women religious founded by Blessed Louis Edward Cestac, on January 6, 1842 at Bayonne, in France. He served as vicar of the Cathedral in Bayonne where he gave his full attention to the poor and the down trodden.

Charism of SM:  The charism of Servants of Mary is to reveal the tender love of God the Father, through our different apostolate in the service of all human beings, especially the poor and the marginalised. Spirituality: Like Mary, with Mary, united to God’s plan of love, we want to be at the disposal of the Spirit, to manifest Jesus, the kindness of the Father, who came to announce the Good News to the poor, to liberate all people in their integrity in various fields of apostolate.(Lk.4:16).

Apostolate: The main of the Congregation is to help the people to find their dignity in the society. The main focus of our mission is the empowerment of the women and the girl children through education (Formal –Non Formal).

Charism:  The gift of the spirit to the Church and to the world through our congregation is “Compassion” which was manifested in the life of Jesus Christ. It is understood as the influence of three elements:

  2. To unite oneself with them in their struggles in life.
  3. To work for their liberation in solidarity.
