New Year – 2025

1. Today we celebrate the solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, and New Year’s Day. In the name of Fr. Provincial, Parish Team, the Redemptorists, and all the Religious sisters of the Parish, we wish you all a very happy feast and Prosperous New Year 2025. May you experience the peace of Christ in this year. There will be no evening masses.
2. Feasts of the week:
   • 2^nd January: Saints Basil the Great and Gregory Nazianzen.
   • 2^nd January is the first Thursday, and a special novena in Tamil will be held at 10:30 am.
   • 3^rd January: Feast of the Most Holy Name of Jesus.
   • 3^rd January is the first Friday, and adoration will be held as follows:
   • • English: 7:30 am
     • Tamil: 5:30 pm
     • Kannada: 6:30 pm
3. Next Sunday is the feast of the Epiphany of the Lord.
4. We thank all the brothers and sisters for their service in distributing communion, Choir, Ushers, Altar Servers, and Sacristy Sisters.
5. Special thanks to:
   • Decorator Mr. Kanika Raj, and Mr. Murthy for Shamiyana and chairs.
   • Legion of Mary members for lightings and Mr. Lemuel and Mr. Joachim for adjusting the sound systems.
   • Mr. Robert, Ms. Sophie Fernandes, Mr. John Peter, and Niranjan for projecting the screens.
   • The police, SCC leaders, ushers, and Legion of Mary volunteers for controlling traffic.
6. The children’s Mass and Catechism classes in English will resume from 5^th January at St. Alphonsus Academy at 9:15 am.
7. Infant Jesus feast will be celebrated on 14^th January, and flag hoisting is on the 4^th January. Details are on the notice board.
8. Parish Calendars for 2025 are available outside the church for Rs. 20/=.
9. The Decree between Holy Ghost Parish and St. Anthony’s Parish, Kavalbysandra, outlines the boundaries/demarcations of St. Anthony’s, Kaval Bysandra Parish as follows:
   • North: Bangalore Guntakal Railway Line (Gandhinagar) (Shampur Railway Crossing) to LR Bande 6^th Main.
   • South: Periyar Nagar Circle, Dr. Ambedkar statue (Tannery Road) (BSA Road) to Modi Garden.
   • East: Dr. Ambedkar Road, Periyar Nagar Circle to Guntakal Railway line (Gandhinagar).
   • West: Modi Garden, Kaval Byrasandra P and T Quarters, NP Factory, Defence Compound KHB Colony Road to LR Bande 6^th Main.
