19^th Sunday in Ordinary Time

1. Today is the Prison Ministry Sunday. A special collection will be taken by the Prison Ministry of India outside the Church. They take care of the release and rehabilitation of prisoners and their families. Please contribute generously.
2. Feasts of the Week:
   • 11^th Monday – Memoria of St. Clare of Assisi
   • 14^th Thursday – Memoria of St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe
3. 15^th Friday is the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary – a day of obligation. Mass timings will be as on Sunday. It is also the 77^th Independence Day of India. After the 5:45 am English Mass, there will be flag hoisting outside the church. Parish office will remain closed on Friday.
4. Vinnarasi SCC Group will be celebrating their feast on Friday. Wishing all the families of this SCC a happy feast.
5. The relic of St. Gerard Majella will be kept in the Church from the evening of 11^th to the evening of 17^th August for those who would like to come and pray. Kindly pray for couples who have no children.
6. The Legion of Mary of our Parish will spend a day praying the Rosary on 15^th August, starting at 10:00 am and ending at 4:00 pm.
7. This Sunday, we celebrate International Youth Day in our Parish at 2:00 pm in the Seminary Hall. All parish youth are welcome.
8. Next Sunday is Parish Youth Day. All young people are invited to gather in the seminary ground for a walkathon in the evening to re-discover Christ who is young and alive.
9. Next Sunday is also Creed Sunday. In joyful commemoration of the 1700^th Anniversary of the Nicene Creed, the Archdiocese of Bangalore will observe it as Creed Sunday.
10. St. Don Bosco Church, Lingarajapuram, will celebrate their annual feast on 17^th August.
11. Workshop on Canon Law: Obligations and Rights of Faithful, Clerics and Laity, Sacraments and Sacramentals from 11^th to 13^th August at Nava Spoorthi Kendra, 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm.
12. Admissions are open at St. Martha’s Hospital for para-medical courses along with nursing courses.
13. Rev. Fr. Thomas Jeyaraj CSsR, former Parish Priest of Holy Ghost Church, expired on 08.08.2025. Funeral service will be on Monday at 1:30 pm. Please pray for the repose of his soul.
