8^th Sunday of OT

NOTICE :– 2^nd March 2025

1. Lent is a preparation for the celebration of Easter. The faithful are called to prepare for the celebration of the paschal mystery by doing penance. Hence, there will be no Gloria and Alleluia in the ordinary masses.
2. Ash Wednesday is on 5^th March and it’s a day of Fast and Abstinence.
3. On Ash Wednesday, the masses will be as follows:
   • English: 5:45 am, 8:00 am & 7:00 pm
   • Tamil: 6:30 am, 11:00 am & 5:15 pm
   • Kannada: 7:15 am & 6:00 pm
   Ashes will be blessed after the homily but distributed after the mass outside the church by Fathers, Sisters, and Brothers. Please maintain order and prayerfully receive the ashes. Do not enter the sacristy to collect the ashes.
4. Way of the Cross on Fridays:
   • English: 5:30 am, 7:30 am & 6:30 pm
   • Tamil: 11:00 am & 7:00 pm
   • Kannada: 5:15 pm
5. 6^th of March is First Thursday. There will be Novena to MPH at 11:00 am in Tamil.
6. 7^th of March is the First Friday, but there will be no adoration.
7. 8^th of March is International Women’s Day. Happy Women’s Day! In view of this, there will be a free fertility consultation and counseling camp for couples from Cloudnine Hospital next Sunday on 9^th March.
8. There will be a gathering of the Women’s Cell at 4:00 pm on 9^th March to celebrate Women’s Day.
9. The Employment Bureau of Holy Ghost is inviting job seekers from our parish to register with them. The office will be open to receive your registrations on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 am to 12:20 pm.
10. Konkani Catholic Association Bangalore (KONCAB) will be organizing a day’s Retreat in Konkani on 9^th March 2025, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at Konkan Samudai Bhavan, Chelekere, Kalyan Nagar.
