1^st Sunday of Advent/Communio Sunday

1. Today is the 1^st Sunday of Advent – a new season to prepare by directing our hearts and minds to await the second coming of Christ and to celebrate the birth of Christ.
2. Feasts of the Week:
   • 03^rd, Feast of St. Francis Xavier the Patron of the Archdiocese
   • 06^th St. Nicholas
   • 07^th St. Ambrose
3. 06^th of December is the first Friday of the month. Adoration schedule:
   • English at 7:30 a.m.
   • Tamil at 5:30 p.m.
   • Kannada at 7:00 p.m.
4. The parish Christmas celebrations will be held on 14^th December from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. We request all of you to be part of this celebration.
5. Ascension Church is celebrating the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe on 14^th December. For more details, kindly look at the notice board.
6. Mass Marriages will be conducted on Sunday 12^th January 2025 at Infant Jesus Shrine, Viveknagar, for economically poor couples from different Parishes of our Archdiocese. There will also be special masses for those celebrating the Golden Jubilee of their wedding this year. Interested families are requested to give their names by 31^st December 2024 at the Parish Office.
7. Donor passes are available for those interested in attending Fr. Rob Galea’s gospel music concerts:
   • 03^rd December at Holy Ghost Church grounds
   • 04^th December at St. Patrick’s Church compound
   Student passes for the concert are also available at a discounted rate. Please meet the volunteers outside the Church for the same.
8. “Funny Money,” a comedy play enacted by Redemptorist brothers at Mt. St. Alphonsus Seminary Auditorium, will be held soon. The proceeds will support charity purposes, especially children’s education. Kindly patronize.
